Bug Description

I am subscribed to a LP mailing list with my "preferred email".
Sending a mail to the mailing list from the right email, to the correct LP address (@lists.launchpad.net) fails, as another subscribed user did not receive it.

Moreover, the archives are still empty.

I've confirmed this is caused by a mixed-case address causing the membership test on the Mailman side to fail. I have a patch ready for review to fix this.
