Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
I use FF3 b05 under Hardy.
When I start Firefox it seems as fast as the start of FF2, but for the next 5 Minutes its acts on the harddisk so the HDD controller light is just on.
That slows down surfing through the web with the open browser and also slowing down other open programs.
I could identify that FF3 is causing the disk usage by killing FF3 process test.

I can confirm this. Properly because of the disk activity, the CPU is going to 100%, until you close Firefox (takes also a while before it's actually closed). It just started yesterday, out of nothing. I tried everything to find the cause of it:
I'm working in Kubuntu Hardy KDE 3.5.9.
*Started my working profile in safe-mode: same problem
*Copied a backup of my profile from a few weeks ago: same problem
*Started a new profile: no problems (yet)
