Bug Description

its on 8.04, dwnloaded and installed on 24th.

used sudo pppoeconf. net was up and running, except that when i pressed the network icon[ right upper part of upper takbar], it only showed manual configuration. i restarted. clicking the network icon still showed only manual config, and i had to do sudo pppoeconf again to get net again. this continued every time a restarted.

but pon dsl-provider command was working to start net without again sudo-ing. as was off.

the problem was rectified once i went to manual config, changed to dhcp. restarted and changed back to 'enable roaming mode'. now the network icon showed up expected things, like the wire network and options to connect or disconnect to dsl-provider.
