Please provide some information on this. What distro are you using? Was this done using Update Manager? What were you attempting to update?

this comes out since i update ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The cause of the failure was:
ERROR got an error from dpkg for pkg: 'linux-image-2.6.24-16-generic': 'subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

We are closing this report because you reported this bug a while ago and there is no recent duplicate nor user mentioning having the issue on Intrepid. If this is still an issue, don't hesitate to reopen the report. Thanks again!
