Bug Description
Binary package hint: kde-guidance-
After upgrading to Hardy guidance doesn't recognize battery when powered by AC from startup, and Kubuntu freezes if I try to insert battery. When otherwise battery is inserted on startup, everything works fine.
I've done this screenshot to explain what I mean. This is the situation if I don't insert the battery on laptop. Battery is not recognized (also the icon is different) and if I want to use it I must restart with battery inserted.
Package version is:

That is how it handles batteries as it is now. It doesn't really handle removal/insertion of batteries that well.
This bug should be marked as wishlist.
