Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

This is Ubuntu, Hardy Heron, x86 version, with latest updates installed. OpenOffice.org version 2.4, standard version from the repositories.

The Undo/Redo items in the OpenOffice.org Writer "Edit" menu display the text that would be Undone or Redone if you select that option. If this text is very long, it should be truncated, since otherwise the menu becomes far too wide. The bug is that this truncation does not happen. If you delete an entire paragraph of text and then open the "Edit" menu, the menu will be drawn in such a way that you cannot even see the options. (See attached screenshot.)

Do you still experience this bug with openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2? I believe that this bug has been corrected.

Thanks,

i dont think this bug has been fixed, its happening with me, right now.

im also using 8.04 i386 with latest updates & stuff. i have not added many packages, and removed none. all of the packages that were added have nothing to do with OOo, unless it was an update, cause i downloaded all of the latest updates and stuff.

btw, i went in synaptic, and although a lot of other packages related to openoffice have been installed, the "openoffice.org" package itself isnt.

i was never aware of uninstalling anything, so i think its like that on a default install
