Bug Description

If you create a new user and run kaffeine for the first time, the installation
wizard will run everytime you run kaffeine. The installation wizard does a check
for dvd, xine etc..
This is due to kaffeine not creating ( or failing to create ) this file
~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/wizard_stamp_v0.7
I'm not sure about the v0.7 part.
When kaffeine fails to create this file, it will run the install check everytime
I run kaffeine.

I was experiencing the same thing until I created this file:

    ~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/wizard_stamp_v0.5

I don't know why kaffeine doesn't create the file on its own.

Presumably you don't have kubuntu-default-settings installed as this includes wizard_stamp

No, I have kubuntu-default-settings installed on my system. However, it was
installed after kaffeine was first installed, so presumably that means that the
wizard_stamp_v0.5 file will never get automatically created in my home .kde
hierarchy because I had already run kaffeine before that default file was available.

I think it would be better to have the kaffeine installation wizard create the
file at the finish of its run. This would solve both the problem of the
installation wizard coming up too much, and the other problem I saw mentioned in
the forums where someone canceled out of the installation wizard to fix some of
the missing items, but the next run of kaffeine did not show the wizard again.

I can confirm this bug.

Here is what I tried, in order to get rid of it:
* a complete clean installation (remove --purge)
* removing all the config files: .kde/share/apps/kaffeine and .kde/share/config/kaffeinerc
* adding a so called 'stamp' file (someone suggested that) touch
~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/wizard_stamp_v0.7.1 and one with wizard_stamp_v0.7
* checking for crashes on close. Seems to close fine.

Now, after some fiddling around I found out that the trick was to:
* apt-get remove kubuntu-default-settings --purge (backup first, but still...*sweat*)
* apt-get install kubuntu-default-settings
and then all was fine.

So this really sounds liek a bug in kaffeine. Kaffeine should not depend on some third package to install
the config files.
I had kaffeine installed before upgraded to breezy. Hence the config files were not overwritten, hence it
all borked.
