Bug Description
Running:
Dell Inspiron 500m.
Breezy default desktop installation with all updates as of 14h00 18 October, 2005.
Problem:
Enters suspend or hibernate fine, but on return, gdm returns to login screen
instead of where I left it.
Same problem occurs when changing back to X from console terminals.
It's as though when the video is reset, gconfd is being signalled to quit.
In either case, these are the lines that appear in syslog:
Oct 18 14:31:02 localhost gconfd (jayc-10231): Received signal 15, shutting down
cleanly
Oct 18 14:31:02 localhost gconfd (jayc-10231): Exiting
Oct 18 14:31:02 localhost gdm[9997]: gdm_slave_
Restarting :0
Thanks & Good Luck,
J.

Thanks for your bug. That seems be an xorg's crash. Could you attach you
/var/log/Xorg.0.log when that happens?
