Bug Description
It would be nice if the Launchpad API for registering a branch had some
way of overriding the owner (e.g. to a team the user that's
registering the branch is in).

"Registrant" is the person who registered the branch, it's always an individual. I agree that it would be good if you could specify the _owner_ of a branch via the API.
I'll change the bug to refer to 'owner'. Please comment (or change it back) if you disagree.
