my ipod nano is not showing up when plugged in

well when I plug my ipod up to my computer to sync it it wont show up like it did when I first started using rythmbox.

now it wont show up

it will charge but thats it, it wont let me add or remove music onto it

I am using ubuntu

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

thanks for your report, does it get show into the nautilus desktop? can you check if it's mounted? may you test the same with gtkpod? what's the database version of your ipod?

please open a terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) after plugging in the ipod and run the following two commands:

mount
lsusb

and paste the output back here.

Ok, I typed in the codes in my terminal....Nothing happened....NOTHING!

seriously though, I have no idea what to do...

And I dont know enough about this to give much information
