What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
    Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
    N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : background this process to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.

    slapadd: bad configuration file!
dpkg: error processing slapd (--configure):

This looks like a issue with the configuration, but even if the configuration is invalid slapd should not fail but instead present a debconf note or do some similar action.

Could you post your slapd defaults file ?

It seems that you've changed the slapd.conf file, which has an error in it.
