I can not login with kdm

Bug Description

I upgrade to kubuntu 5.10 Breezy, but when I tried to login in kdm screen, my
keyboard does not work well, when I write my username do not appear letters,
appear white square and it not access to system. why? my computer is: compaq
presario mod V2010LA, with kubuntu 5.04 works very well.

Hello,

I am having exactly the same problem. I installed 5.04 (CD) and then updated to Breezy via internet. Now I cannot login either in kdm or gdm. White squares appear instead of characters when typing username. Please, help.

Is this bug still present in the latest Dapper packages?

If it is not, or if someone knows that this bug has been fixed by a subsequent upload, please let us know so we can close this. The last activity on this bug was over a couple months ago.
