as of this version, the shortcut to open a new tab is ctrl-shift-n, whereas it used to be ctrl-alt-n. Konsole is not gnome-terminal, is it? :P ;)

well, if it's not an Ubuntu local change, but rather an upstream decision, I'm

Isn't Ubuntu specific. The Konsole developers are working towards a more unified shortcut set :-)
