Bug Description

The xdm package on Ubuntu Breezy (prerelease, as of 2005.09.20) appears
to be missing /usr/lib/X11/xdm/libXdmGreet.so, and as such cannot
display the greeter (or log in a user). xdm -debug 1 -nodaemon reports:

xdm error (pid 9566): /usr/lib/X11/xdm/libXdmGreet.so: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory while loading
/usr/lib/X11/xdm/libXdmGreet.so

Upon further examination, defining GREET_USER_STATIC fixes this issue. (I added -DGREET_USER_STATIC to CFLAGS in debian/rules; this is not a good permanent solution, as xdm is simply useless without it.

In addition to this fix, DEF_XDM_CONFIG must be defined to reflect that the xdm config file is now located at /usr/X11/etc/xdm/xdm-config.

Without these changes, xdm will not allow login. If the priority of this bug should be raised to reflect this, please do so.

The above path for DEF_XDM_CONFIG should be /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config; looks like I'm 0 for 2 for avoiding corrections.
