Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnumeric-doc
In gnumeric 1.7.11, the "Minor ticks" property of an axis has a meaning that depends on the type of scale:
- for linear scale, the property indicates the distance between minor ticks
- for log scale, the property indicates the number of minor ticks in a decade
The "Major ticks" means:
- for linear scale, the distance between major ticks
- for log scale, the number of decades between two major ticks
for both minor and major ticks in log scale, the number should be a positive integer.
None of this info is written in the manual, albeit it should.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. What section of the gnumeric manual should this be documented in? In ¨Plot Types¨, it seems quite complete in describing what information can be used for each scale.
Please add what section this should be in, as well as a paragraph where it is missing, if possible. I will use the information to file an upstream bug report and link it back to here so we can get this into the manual.
