Bug Description

Hi!

It seems to me that there aren't an option to customize the length of pauses
between songs. This option is really needed!

Case 1: Maris is conductor of a choir. One of his duties is to listen to the
recordings of other choirs. Unfortunately to get the emotional message of some
pieces he has to push the pause button manually. Otherwise the next song starts
too early.

Case 2: In albums like "Dark side of the Moon" where some songs are blended
together (one very long song divided in multiple mp3's) those silent pauses in
the middle of the song can drive one crazy. And there is no way to disable them.

Thanks for your bug. The second point is a bug, rhythmbox/gstreamer0.8 was quite
slow to switch between song, this is fixed with dapper/gstreamer0.10 now. I've
forwarded the other issue upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326128

How exactly is this fixed with gstreamer0.10? There's still an annoying pause between songs even though the original recording had them as a medley.

Confirmed, Version: 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4.3 in intrepid (Linux jal-laptop 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 19:28:32 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux) still does this.

/me can't enjoy Abbey Road :'(

enable crossfading backend and set pause to zero.
