Bug Description
The apr in Hardy now uses /dev/random for entropy instead of /dev/urandom, which causes problems for applications that use apr to get entropy.
Debian has patched 1.2.12 in Lenny to use /dev/urandom - can we get that package into Hardy?

Craig, thanks for taking the time to file this report way back in 2008!
I think this would change the behavior of Hardy too significantly to justify an SRU at this point. All later versions do use /dev/urandom, but people running an LTS release don't expect their system behavior to change, even if it would put less stress on the entropy pool of the system.
Setting status to Won't Fix.
