Bug Description

I am attempting to install UBUNTU STUDIO on my HP Laptop with @36 GB of empty space at the end of my 160 Gig Drive. Trying to do "everything right" I tried downloading the MD5SUM utility and testing out the download I did of ubuntustudio-8.04.1-alternate-i386.iso

When I submit that file to my installed copy of WinMD5SUM,
it returns a HASH that reads: f4e8562df1113f22f521cb608ad5a79d

When I put in the HASH that is stated for this file, on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuHashes page, the only one listed there is bbd21ded02c06b41c59485266833937a - which is for the "alternate" of Hardy Heron, apparently, not the "Ubuntu Studio" "alternate" version that I want.

Obviously, if I put in the above Hash, and click on "compare" on the WinMD5SUM utility, it says: "MD5 Check Sums are different"

No kidding!

So... how long must one wait for a HASH to be published for UBUNTU STUDIO? And - if possible - can you simply send me a DVD DISC for it? I am not exactly trusting this download install process... YOUR published disc will probably stand a much better chance of a successful install on my humble old laptop... a mere Pentium 4 1.6 Mhz with 1 GB ram.

But hey, life is short, and not for the timid!

Thanks for your patience with me and your good helpful answer anticipated.

Best,

Tom Christy, Murfreesboro TN
