Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

During testing of my devices to get them working with the 0.7 3G features (on Hardy), I've run into an interesting quirk with NM.

When I restart HAL and Udev:

/etc/init.d/hal restart
/etc/init.d/udev restart

to get HAL rules and udev rules to be applied, NM starts showing all interfaces in the list twice. See attached screenshot.

A second HAL restart causes the NM daemon to crash / exit.

I haven't dug into this in more detail, as it seems like a pretty minor issue, restarting HAL won't be something a normal user does anyway. Still, it seems to be worth mentioning.

I actually haven't been able to reproduce this since upgrading to Intrepid, which is why the delayed response on the syslog.
