Bug Description

Binary package hint: libmysqlclient15-dev

When compiling KDE 4 Trunk (extragear/multimedia , amarok) i get the following error from GCC:

/usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqld.a(net_serv.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqld.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

when asked the Kde Developers @ #kde they sayed its a ubuntu package problem.
