Bug Description

VMWare fullscreen works fine in Hoary. However after upgrading to Breezy and
having installed all of the latest updates VMWare will go into fullscreen but it
looks distored. Changing the Xorg driver to vesa from ati VMWare works fine in
fullscreen. I've read on the VMWare site that this is often caused by a buggy
driver with issues in DGA/DGA2? Either way I know the open source ATI driver
works fine in Hoary but not Breezy.

When VMWare is running in a window everything appears to display correctly so
the built in Gnome tools to take a screen dump would be no good. I've tried
flicking to fullscreen and then taking a dump and using the guests tools and the
image comes out fine. The image is displaying as if the refresh rate is far too
low with flickering and text distortion. As I said though I haven't changed
anything and when I switch from the ATI driver to VESA everything is ok apart
from my general system performance :)

Adjusting preferences so that the VMWare workstation does not attempt to either resize host or client fixes the problem.

Unable to reproduce using Ubuntu 6.06, VMWare Server 1.0 and a Windows XP SP2 host.

Fullscreen, Quick Switch and Windowed mode work perfectly for me, including resizing the screen resolution as the VMWare host window is resized.
