screensaver doesn't work after upgrade

Bug Description
After upgrading to 8.10 the screensaver doesn't work. It will fade and then resume with out showing the screen saver. I have mine set to my picture folder.

After changing the screen saver it still doesn't work, same behavior as before. If disabled the screen will be able to power down.
It seems no one is noticing this bug.... Can someone please fix this bug!!!!
