Freeze when moving between workspaces

Bug Description

When switching between workspaces, the desktop occasionally freezes for a second or 2, leaving everything in a half-drawn state (window outlines are drawn, but the contents are grey).

While frozen, the mouse is still responsive (I think, its tricky to test properly).

After a small delay, everything returns to normal and the windows finish drawing themselves.

This is running Dapper. I can't reproduce this in Breezy.

Thanks for your bug. That's probably https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5289
Do you know how to rebuild a package to verify if that's that issue?

Hi,

I rebuild cairo with the change in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5289

I've been using it for a while now (a couple of hours) and haven't been able to reproduce the bug.

Reassigning to xorg, dropping the dapper milestone since the slowness issue has been workaround from GTK during that cycle

Changed in libcairo:
