Bug Description

To use prelink for speeding up loading of programs if fails for some because of libGL.so being not compiled with PIC.

The solution, posted on http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/prelink-howto.xml is to "add -fPIC to the relevant CFLAGS".

I'm not sure, if this is possible at all, because the nvidia drivers appear to be binary only, but perhaps this can be taken upstream.

It's a minor wish anyway, because it affects not that much programs (40 on my system, 19 being screensavers in /usr/lib/xscreensaver/).
