Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

On an intrepid (upgraded from Hardy which was upgraded from Gutsy), gnome-power-manager is being reported in powertop as causing too many wakeups. This is a new behavior. I did not see this with Hardy. It also has a real effect. With gnome-power-manager running, my battery life is just over 2 hours. With it killed, batttery life extends to just over 3.
