Bug Description

For me, as for many others - as far as i know - is it really bad not to have kde3.5 longer in the system. I really enjoy some of the new features of the Intrepid, but I miss the good working, fast and reliable desktop that I had on my notebook before. It is so hungry for resources, that I really have to think on switching back to 8.04. Thanks for your attention.

This is by design. If you want KDE 3.5, staying with Hardy is exactly what you should do. Note that we've been keeping Hardy KDE3 up to date and it has the current KDE 3.5.10.
