booting failure with multiboot 8.10 live cd`s

Bug Description
i used a ubuntu 8.10 multi-boot installation cd (containing Ubuntu , Kubuntu, Xubuntu, edubuntu,mythbuntu & ubuntu studio) provided by Linux For You magzine,the booting from cd fails reporting an Input output failure. my system configuration is AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ , Gigabyte (Nvidia Geforce 6100 Nforce 405), 1 GB ram , 160 GB SATA hard disk. system is containing windows XP professional. but the booting is successful when the whole hard disk contains nothing. it seems that windows XP is creating a problem for the live cd to boot.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, it seems that you are not using a software package provided by Ubuntu. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the provider of the cd. Thanks!
