Bug Description

Hello,

I'm currently running Jaunty on Dell Inspiron 1525 and the external microphone jack is not working. I also used Intrepid on this laptop, and it didn't work there too.

Sorry, I reread the docs. You need to set your 'Input Source's to 'Front Mic' to use the _external mic jack_. 'Digital Input Source' needs to be set to 'Analog Inputs'.

That is exactly how I tested if the external mic works with all three
patches. For the first patch it worked, but it also started fading out
the sound when headphones are plugged in (as we discussed on IRC).
