Bug Description

The arrow icon (top right overlapping) for symbolic links is HUGE. It should really be in the same size as all other markers like that. See attached screenshot, icon "drod-jtrh".

It also affects the placement of the icons, note the huge gaping space below, but I suppose that is a Nautilus issue?

This is what it looks like on my desktop, see icon "drod-jtrh".

This bug is specific to the Tango icon theme. If you modify the index of the theme, and set the scaleable emblem size to "96" instead of "48", the problem goes away.

Is that a solution or a hack? As I understand it, the emblems are 48, not 96, but are not scaled... or something like that. What I mean is that marking them 96 is just hiding the real problem, wherever that is, if in Tango or Nautlius.

it seems to be a bug in nautilus, but there will be a workaround in dapper.

Tango has a workaround now. Nautilus will still have to be fixed.

It looks right now, at least. Thanks.

The symbolic arrow symbol still seems pretty big. Just look at the examples symlink that is installed by default and on the desktop CD. With two symbols, it looks quite awkward.

I had this problem, but I think it's caused by something in user installed themes - not nautilus.

I fixed it by going to ~/.themes and deleting the Tango directory, so if the other methods listed don't work try that.

I had this problem too.
I deleted ~/.icons/Tango and it went away.
