CheckGMail doesn't save password

Bug Description

Binary package hint: checkgmail

Even if I select "Save password," CheckGMail doesn't save my password. At startup, a dialogue box pops up with the "save password" box checked and the password field blank.

Yes, I have the same problem in Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64.

Same here. I think this started happen when I upgraded to jaunty. I've also noticed that the icon in the dialogues has changed to that grey unknown-icon icon, don't know if this is related.

hey to help get this bug triaged, first i need to know if this is still happening in the latest (lucid) release of ubuntu. Also did you try checkgmail - update

It happens in lucid.
checkgmail -update says:
OK to update to new version via 'sudo mv checkgmail /usr/bin/'?(Y/n)> y
Update NOT performed ...
Deleting temp file ...
Continuing with application startup ...

The problem remains.

Igor When updating press Y (capital Y) otherwise it will not update. This is issue was already fixed so i am closing this report

Another problem appeared. checkgmail won't login, even the password and username are correct.
Message is: Unable to find gmail_ik ... full message text won't work :(
