I'cannot change options in the configurator panel

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? What password to you enter? You should user your user password

I've Ubuntu 5.10 upgraded to Dapper on line (because I cannot install
Flight 3 or 4 directly). Before, there wasn't this bug. For me appeared
only within the last updates.
My user password: bene
If I've login and use System>Administration>Login Window
it accept my password, but immediately disappear the window
If I try to change the options from the login panel (Debian screen
with face browser) and I use my password "bene", appear the login
message: perhaps the password is incorrect.
(My computer: Athlon64 3200, motherboard 939 ultra, ATI Radeon X800,
HD 200Gb Pata)

That seems to be a gdmsetup crasher. What does happen when you run "sudo gdmsetup" from a command line?

Could you get a backtrace:
- sudo gdb gdmsetup
(gdb) run
... crash
(gdb) thread apply all bt

That's probably a duplicate of bug #32034 which is fixed upstream (a new tarball should be rolled monday and will be uploaded to dapper)
