Bug Description

I have this laptop: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/ToshibaSatelliteL10-120

*It seems like shutting down/rebooting hangs some where along the «shutting down power management» or similar. I have to do a hard reboot (pressing and holding the power button). This did not happen on earlier kernels. Not sure if this is a kernel or services bug or similar though. If there's any more info I can provide, please shout out.

Rebooted. It hanged on the message «Disabling power management». I've also experienced errors like «Internal Error! Failed to initiate HAL» when restarting gdm manually (using «/etc/init.d/gdm restart»). Maybe this is a HAL error instead?

Can you try adding reboot=h or reboot=b to your grub command line and see what happens?

Thanks
