Bug Description

Gnomes 'always on top' option is disabled, and in programs like xmms which have an 'always on top' option it is ignored.

(not sure if this is xgl or compiz or gnome-window-manager, but it was part of setting up xgl)

This is most likely compiz. Run metacity --replace in a terminal and see if the the problem still happens. If not, then the problem lies in compiz as that's the window manager.

Thanks. running `metacity --replace` does fix the problem (i can on top my terminal again), and it also returns my missing workspaces. (which didnt fit on the cube ;D).
I didnt understand what compiz did as such, so thanks :) I will change try and point this bug to compiz instead.

Thank you for your bug report. As generic compiz as now been uploaded to Feisty (compiz-quinn is now known as beryl), we need to see if your bug is still present. If you can test the version of compiz in feisty (1:0.3.3-0ubuntu2~git2006112 or later) and tell us if you bug still exists, please do. Please make certain you are using Ubuntu's Xorg as well. We also require the make of your video card, to help debug driver issues. If you are using a newer ATI card (x1000 series or newer), please indicate so. This is a lack of functionality in libwnck, not compiz's fault.
