Bug Description

Binary package hint: system-config-printer

* run "system-config-printer-applet --no-tray-icon"
* look at the menu titles
* they are not translated, the menu items and the rest of the dialog are, the translations are correctly there in the .mo but not used

Tim, looks like that some "_(...)" are missing in the source. It happens with the Ubuntu package 1.1.3+git20090218-0ubuntu7, 1.1.x GIT snapshot from Feb 18, 2009, one day before feature freeze, plus bug fix patches.

It seems that this bug is fixed in Karmic, thus changing the status for the ubuntu-translations task

The menu titles appear translated in Ubuntu 10.04 and since Ubuntu 10.10 the menu has been removed, so marking Fix Released.
Feel free to reopen if you still have this problem in Ubuntu 10.04 or higher.
