Bug Description

Recently upgraded to Intrepid from Hardy. After I upgraded, I added the Brother HL-1240 on my Win XP64 machine. The test page printed. On next boot, I tried to print to the laser. It didn't. I have attached the troubleshoot text generated. Hope I've given enough info.

I note the following from this troubleshoot.txt file:
'E [26/Mar/2009:10:50:18 -0400] cupsdAuthorize: Local authentication certificate not found!',
repeated some times.

and:
'E [26/Mar/2009:10:50:18 -0400] [Job 120] Connection failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME',
also with some repetitions.

This package did not have a package associated with it.
Following instructions from https://wiki.edubuntu.org/Bugs/FindRightPackage, I am making it associated with cups package, like other printing bugs.

I am also making it Confirmed, as it has a nice troubleshoot.txt that I hope will be enough to a cups developer to help.

if you are getting this error:
"Tree connect failed:NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME" you are likely missing /etc/drivers/samba directory,
$ sudo mkdir /etc/drivers/samba will fix this

It's worth a try

I'm adding a samba package association too
