Bug Description

Binary package hint: prism

Shows "Starting App..." in task bar for a few seconds then nothing happens.

Looks similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269641

I am using Jaunty beta current as of a few hours ago

This is what you will see when running prism from a terminal:

/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.8/xulrunner-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.8/libpyxpcom.so: undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS2_DecodeUTF16

I've the same bug after updating firefox (and xulrunner) to 3.0.8, and prism won't start now.
running prism in terminal shows more info:
"/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.8/xulrunner-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.8/libpyxpcom.so: undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS2_DecodeUTF16"

The bug is fixed here after upgrading packages:
Upgraded the following packages:
xulrunner-1.9 (1.9.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu1) to 1.9.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu2
xulrunner-1.9-gnome-support (1.9.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu1) to 1.9.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu2

Working as of latest update so changed status to fixed.

Prism Ubuntu package works.

However the Prism Firefox addon doesn't work and simply launches Firefox, but I guess it's a different issue.
