Bug Description

ATI X300 chipset in Inspiron 9300 notebook. Works flawlessly with Hoary, Breezy. But with Dapper flight5, *after* disabling "dri" (another bug), KDM comes up with a largish band of garbage (uninitialized screen memory?) down the right hand side of the 1920x1200 display.

Mouse movement works into the garbage area no problem, and things are fine once the user logs in. But ugly in KDM.
