Well, I'm not able to provide any information because I moved back to 8.04 LTS and it works just fine. My server was a secondary NIS server and was receiving maps from a master regularly and share maps over 50 unix station. If nobody had the same issue except me, we should not wast more time on this anyone, especially with the Karmic version out today.
