Could you repost the /var/log/dist-upgrade/ contents? It apparently got truncated to 40bytes...

This is what was in /var/log/dist-upgrade/

apt.log apt-term.log main.log term.log xorg_fix_intrepid.log

Anyway, I did a apt-get install postfix and it worked. Previously, it would give me an error about /var/lock and error code 10.

You can close the ticket if you want.
