Bug Description

Hi, i have a Thinkpad X41 with a
Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 13) according to lspic.

If I load the sdhci module when a sd card is inserted, everything works correctly. But when i load sdhci without having a card inserted and later plug in a card it nothing happens.

Also the sdhci modules will only be loaded at boot when i have a card inserted.

Hi, I have the same Notebook with the same cardreader (Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 13)) and 2.6.15-21-686 with restricted-modules.

According to the sdhci-mailinglist It should work:
http://list.drzeus.cx/pipermail/sdhci-devel/2006-April/000606.html

Nothing happens when I load the sdhci modul (card inserted or not).

Again: I have a icon on the desktop when i insert the card before booting and can access the card without problems.

The sdhci modules will load at boot only when I have inserted the card before booting.

I can also duplicate this behaviour with the following card reader (from lsusb):

Bus 002 Device 004: ID 07cc:0301 Carry Computer Eng., Co., Ltd 6-in-1 Card Reader

It's part of the Mitsumi 404FA.

The card reader in my dell inspiron 9300 works fine with the latest dapper updates, it didn't work at all with the default install.
