Bug Description

This is a feature request, not a bug report.

It would be great if you could pass a parameter to innobackupex to specify the actual name of the backup directory, instead of innobackupex naming it automatically using a date/time string.

You can do this with xtrabackup, but it doesn't appear that you can do so with innobackupex.

Thanks!

Blake,

you may use --no-timestamp option for that:

from innobackupex --help:
--no-timestamp
This option prevents creation of a time-stamped subdirectory of the
BACKUP-ROOT-DIR given on the command line. When it is specified, the
backup is done in BACKUP-ROOT-DIR instead.
