Bug Description
OpenOffice.org 3.1 Wrongly says 3.0 instead of 3.1 both in the splash screen & under help.
However, it correctly reads as OpenOffice.org 3.1.0 ( after reading a few lines later)
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using,
Ubuntu 9.04
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic.
W: Unable to locate package packagename
3) What you expected to happen
The splash screen would correctly read as OpenOffice.org 3.1.0
4) What happened instead
reads as OpenOffice.org 3.0
To post a comment you must log in.
The command would be apt-cache policy openoffice.org-core
If you're using Ubuntu 9.04, the version in Jaunty's repo is OO.o 3.0.1-9ubuntu3. Where did you get OO.o 3.1 from? If you got it from a PPA, other people are complaining of the same issue: http:// matt.bottrell. com.au/ archives/ 350-OpenOffice- 3.1-for- Ubuntu. html
I wouldn't expect Ubuntu devs to fix something like this. Raise the issue with the PPA maintainer instead: https:/ /launchpad. net/%7Eccheney/ +contactuser
