Bug Description
In luciole 0.7.2 Change po file names : like fr_FR.po in luciole-fr.po
Reason (mail from Jeroen Vermeulen ) :
Some of your uploads had names that contained invalid language codes.
Language codes such as "es_ES" and "ja_JP" are not used because they
reflect the "default" country a language is spoken in: Spanish is simply
"es," Japanese is "jp," and so on. Using "es_ES" instead of "es" for
example effectively says that Spanish-speaking users outside Spain can't
use that translation.
Adding a country code to the language code only makes sense when this is
not the case. The exceptions are Chinese (zh_CN is Simplified Chinese,
zh_TW is Traditional Chinese) and English: en_GB is British English.
Besides Chinese and English, the only case where we normally include the
country code is in Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR). Translating into en_US
is not supported.
Where possible we have approved your uploads with corrected language
codes, but in future please remember to name your translations in the
way described here. Incorrect codes can prevent automatic approval of
your uploads, causing unnecessary delays and requiring manual review.
