Clicking on sticky note applet when stickies are visible should hide them all

Bug Description

The sticky note applet shows all stickies if they are hidden and I click on the applet. But it does not then hide them if I click it again. It would be better if clicking the applet would show stickies if none are visible, and hide them if some are visible.

It does work like that in 2.25, so you just have to hang in there for the next version :)

In my opinion, the new version sacrifices functionality in order to achieve this. Now, clicking the icon hides the notes, even if the notes are behind other windows. What this means is that there is no way to make your notes visible, besides minimizing the windows in front of them, or minimizing your notes, waiting a second, then un-minmizing them (you must wait to avoid the double-click, which creates a new note). This frustrates me to no end, and has forced me to stop using this applet. I answer the phone a lot, and need to quickly get my notes to the front and jot things down. There is currently no way to do this.

I suggest adding a preference for what to do on single-clicks (or double-clicks). Or really, anything that restores the ability to quickly bring all the notes to the front.
