Application menu icon does not scale well

Bug Description

The Gaim launcher icon looks fine on the application menu, but if it is added to a drawer, it's lower resolution becomes an issue.

Gaim 2.0.0 has an SVG icon that someone contributed. It's not exactly the same as the .png, but it's pretty close. Perhaps that would help here. If it does, maybe we should consider using that in the .desktop file?

I just noticed this. I'm not sure if this is only on my computer, but the icon the launcher is supposed to be using actually does look much better. But it does not appear to be using that icon. I have no idea why. Does anyone else get this?

That's because the icon is installed not to /usr/share/icons/hicolor but to /usr/share/pixmap. Note than the Tangerine icon theme has a svg version scaling nicely

I think this bug can safely be closed. I'm using Feisty and Gutsy, and the along with gaim now being pidgin, the pidgin icon scales fine.
