Bug Description

Dapper.

Description:
Whole Computer freezes everytime I choose "logout" from the gnome-panel, then in gdm press F10 for the menu and select "shut down" and confirm.

Is the problem also there if you don't log in to gnome and just shutdown from gdm after a fresh reboot?

Nope - everything works fine when i haben't been logged in yet.

Thanks for your bug. What videocard and videodriver do you use? Does it hang on the gdm screen itself? Does Ctrl-Alt-F1 work? Do you have something to /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog about that?
