Cannot "Remove Safely" two USB sticks

Bug Description

I'm running Kubuntu Dapper Flight 6, KDE desktop that is. When I put two USB memory sticks in, they both get recognized OK and, as the pop-up window suggests, mounted OK when I click OK. When I right-click one device and "Safely Remove" it, the option disappears from the other device's right click menu.

Could not determine package name...

I changed severity to major, since many people use USB sticks and sooner or later they end up using two sticks at the same time. OK, umount functions as expected, but this is an issue for a non-experienced user.

I can confirm this.
Remove Safely works as expected on the first USB stick. On the second, the Remove Safely entry in the right-click menu on the second USB stick is not present.

It happens with any number of devices on the desktop. CD-Rom & Mass storage, if you have more than 1 and you safely remove one, then the option disappears on the others, including eject and safely remove from CD-Rom options.

I have to go into media:/ to remove devices / eject and unmount CD's.

This isn't an issue with the new device notifier (Device Notifier plasma applet) in Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex. (8.10)
