Bug Description

When a computer does not possess any network card, the Network Monitor applet will show "lo" on the Gnome Panel as a standard network device.

This might confuse home users into thinking they have a network card, when in fact they don't.

To reproduce: boot Live CD on any computer without a network card. "lo" will be shown on The Network Monitor (top right corner of top Gnome panel).
