In the screenshot documentation, it says that the default keys for screenshot are Print screen and Alt+Print screen. Here's the excert:

"To take a screenshot, use the following shortcut keys:

Print Screen - Takes a screenshot of the entire screen.
Alt+Print Screen - Takes a screenshot of the window to which the mouse points.

The keys are infact Ctrl+PrintScreen and Ctrl+Alt+PrintScreen

Hi Lukas,
can you open the "Keyboard Shortcuts" and check the shortcuts defined for "Take a screenshot" and "Take a screenshot of a window"?

On my system, the shortcuts agree with the documentation.

If you run 'gconf-editor', and browse to /apps/metacity/global_keybindings/run_command_screenshot
what value does it show? And can you change it to the value in the documentation by right-clicking, and selecting "Unset Key"?

In Keyboard Shortcuts, the keys are Ctrl+PrintScreen and Ctrl+Alt+PrintScreen. If I try to change these to Print and Alt-Print, I get this error:
The shortcut "Print" cannot be used because it will become unusable to type using this key.
Please try with a key such as Control, Alt or Shift at the same time.

The value is gconf also shows the same, Ctrl-Print.

Not being able to set "Print" as a shortcut sounds like another bug...

Did you try the last step, selecting "Unset Key", after right-clicking on the entry? Did anything happen?

When I unset the key it returns to Print. But Print cannot be set through Keyboard Shortcuts.

That setting the default returned the value to Print suggests that this
is actually the default value (and the documentation is correct), and
that the keybindings were changed from the default at some point in the
past. So the bug is really not being able to set the key correctly from
within Keyboard Shortcuts?

I've marked this bug as a duplicate of bug #33102, the problem being that <Print> cannot be used as a keyboard shortcut in the preferences. This should be fixed with the next sync to the Ubuntu mirrors.
