Bug Description
Launchpad revision:8971
Uploading a mugshot on local development server appears to work, then redirect to the ~$USER page. It is stored on the filesytem and manual retrieval times-out. There isn't much in the way of reasoning or useful logs of the failure.
If image retrieval is attempted over http, rather than the embedded url inside the page, the the image is returned as expected.
